1. Apply to the Lemon Squeezy affiliate platform
You first need approval as an affiliate on Lemon Squeezy itself.
- Sign in to the Lemon Squeezy Affiliate Hub.
- Complete your profile with your website or channel and how you plan to promote products.
- Confirm that payouts are supported in your country, then submit the profile for review.
- Wait for Lemon Squeezy’s decision.
You must be able to receive a bank or PayPal payout in a supported country. Check the current coverage in the affiliate payout documentation before applying.
This approval only gives you access to Lemon Squeezy’s affiliate platform. It does not automatically enroll you in the ClippingMini program.
2. Apply to the ClippingMini program
After Lemon Squeezy approves your affiliate profile, open Programs in the Affiliate Hub and search for CLIPPINGMINI. You can also use the direct page:
affiliates.lemonsqueezy.com/programs/clippingmini
Review the program and commission details, then select Become an affiliate. ClippingMini can approve or reject the request, and Lemon Squeezy sends the result by email.
Do not construct a referral URL before approval. Use the link issued in the Affiliate Hub after your ClippingMini application has been accepted.
3. Share your referral link
Your approved account receives a URL with a unique affiliate id. Lemon Squeezy affiliate URLs typically contain an aff parameter:
https://www.clippingmini.com/?aff=1234
1234 is only an example. Copy your own URL from the Affiliate Hub.
You can place the link in an article, video description, newsletter, or profile. If ClippingMini has supplied banners or copy, they appear under Creatives in the Affiliate Hub.
When sharing the link:
- Make the affiliate relationship clear to your audience.
- Do not promise features or benefits that ClippingMini does not offer.
- Keep the
affvalue in the URL unchanged. - Follow the affiliate-link rules of each advertising platform or community.
4. How referrals are tracked
When someone visits your referral URL, Lemon Squeezy creates an anonymous identifier. If that visitor buys an eligible ClippingMini subscription within the program’s tracking period, a referral is recorded.
ClippingMini currently shows a 30-day tracking period. Lemon Squeezy’s current affiliate tracking is cookieless, so this is best understood as the window that connects the initial referral visit to a later purchase.
The Affiliate Hub shows clicks and referrals for your links. A referral moves through one of these statuses:
- Accepted: the default accepted state
- In Review: under merchant review or tied to an unresolved dispute
- Pending: included in a payout that is being processed
- Paid: payout completed
- Rejected: marked as an invalid referral
- Void: voided because the related order was refunded
A click does not guarantee commission. The visitor must complete an eligible paid subscription within the tracking period.
5. Understanding the recurring commission
The ClippingMini program advertises a 20% recurring commission for monthly and yearly subscriptions. Commission is based on paid subscriptions attributed to your referral, not on clicks.
Valid recurring subscription payments can continue to generate commission. Refunded orders and referrals marked rejected or void are not paid.
Eligible products, exceptions, and minimum payout settings can change. Review the ClippingMini program page again before starting a campaign.
6. Payout timing and methods
Lemon Squeezy processes the payouts. Its current documentation says referral commission is held for 30 days before it becomes available. Payouts are created on the 1st and 15th from approved referrals and paid on the 14th and 28th.
Payouts are made in USD to a bank account or PayPal account. If the program has a minimum payout amount and your available balance is lower, payment may move to a later cycle.
Lemon Squeezy deducts a fee from each referral, and payment-provider or currency-conversion fees may also apply. These platform rules can change, so check the official payout documentation before relying on a payout date or fee.
7. Checklist before you apply
- Lemon Squeezy supports payouts to your country and chosen method.
- Your affiliate profile accurately describes your site or channel.
- Your separate ClippingMini program application has been approved.
- You are using the referral URL issued to your account.
- Your content clearly discloses the affiliate relationship.
